Cub Scout Pack 451 held it Annual Blue and Gold Banquet on March 20th, at Fezzo's III Banquet and Catering Facility. This annual celebration honors Scout and Pack Achievements for 2010-2011. This year's theme was "Scouting to the Beat". Individual scout dens made personal placemats and centerpieces, and enjoyed music selected by the scouts and a slide show of their year in scouting.

Scouts work hard throughout the year, with a goal of achieving their Rank Advancement at this annual event. It's also an opportunity to showcase the Pack's accomplishments, and celebrate the birthday of Scouting in the United States, now 101 years. A total of 39 cub scouts earned their Rank Advancement Ceremony. Two Scouts were also recognized for earning their Arrow of Light Award. The Arrow of Light is the highest award which can be earned by a Cub Scout, and is the final award before crossing over into Boy Scouting. CONGRATULATIONS to Mr. Kameron Munroe and Mr. Jack Frederick. All scouts will officially cross over and move into their new ranks at the Crossover Campout, scheduled for May 14-15, tentatively scheduled to be held at Camp Edgewood in Lake Charles.
